A baby doesn’t care where they are when they are hungry. This young mother does not feel awkward nursing in public like other mothers do. Wherever they go, including in public, she feels it’s critical to continue breastfeeding her 17-month-old daughter.
Although Trinati openly breastfeeds her toddler, not everyone in her immediate vicinity approves of this practice. She frequently receives odd stares, and occasionally store staff will even ask her to nurse in a closet.
Babies should not be fed in broom closets. Trinati took action because she didn’t like it. At Costco, she asked her son to take a photo of her nursing daughter. “No matter where we are, I always give my kids what they need,” she stated.
Strangers don’t only stare at Trinati. Her family and friends even inquire, “How long will you do that?” “As long as she needs me!” is what she constantly says. They joke that she will continue to breastfeed till her daughter enters kindergarten.
Trinati is fed up with people criticizing her for breastfeeding or making it look sexual. “Really?” she asked. Have you witnessed someone nursing? There is nothing to fantasize about about my nipples! Ha!
“These are basically udders right now,” Trinati added. Get over yourself! With these shady girls, I’m not attempting to take your man or lady! They no longer feel like a sexual component of my body to me. They currently belong to my child for emotional and bodily sustenance.
She wishes to increase understanding that nursing is not sexual in any manner; rather, it is a means of providing nourishment to a kid.
She clarified, “I don’t expect all men or people who have never breastfed to understand how mothers have the endurance to deal with nipple-pinching or straight-up acrobatics while breastfeeding.” “When people see my 1.5-year-old standing on my lap, they give me the weirdest looks and uncomfortable giggles.”
She snapped a photo of herself nursing her toddler to normalize breastfeeding in public. She aimed to demonstrate how mothers, wherever they may be, constantly look out for their children.
“I had my son take that picture of us at Costco because I want to show my daughter in the future that we mothers will go to great lengths to make sure our children are taken care of no matter what,” she added.
She captioned the Instagram photo, saying, “My baby’s needs come waaaaaay before anyone else’s attempts to make me feel inappropriate for this sometimes-public act of nourishing and/or comforting my children.”
