Dani and Nathan fell in love after meeting in high school. They were married after a few years of dating. But their joy was short-lived. After just two years of marriage, Nathan began to alter and began to criticize Dani more and more.
He would frequently criticize her appearance, telling her that she had “let herself go” and should give her appearance more thought. Even though Nathan was a fantastic father to their daughter Ellie, he claimed that Dani wasn’t a good mother since she worked from home too often and didn’t spend enough time with her.
Despite her best efforts, Dani was unable to satisfy Nathan. As their marriage deteriorated, Dani came to the realization that she lacked the strength to stand up for something that Nathan only had in his head.
Dani made the decision to move with Nathan when he informed her that he had a job opening in a new city, believing that the move would improve their marriage. However, things did not improve. One day, Dani saw Ellie sobbing in her room after she started returning home from school depressed.
Ellie informed the class that she would make a better mother than Dani, according to Miss Allen, her teacher. When Nathan’s infidelity was discovered, Dani’s entire world collapsed. Dani was informed by Nathan that he had been having an affair that evening with Miss Allen and another woman from the town where they had previously resided.
Their marriage ended with the news. Ellie was transferred to a new school, Dani moved to a new home, and she filed for divorce. Dani was at last free from the unhappy marriage that was trapping her, but Nathan was free to visit his daughter anytime he pleased.
