In a restaurant, a guy and lady are eating dinner.
The man slowly slides down his chair until he vanishes beneath the table, as observed by the waitress at the next table.
The woman doesn’t seem to have noticed and is utterly indifferent.
The waitress approaches the woman with concern and whispers to her in a low voice, “I believe your husband has just slipped under the table!”
“No, actually, he just walked in the front door,” the woman responds.
While handling another order at a table a short distance away, their waitress spotted
that the woman appeared unconcerned as the male gently slid under the table and down his chair.
The waitress saw the man slide completely down his chair and disappear beneath the table.
Nevertheless, the woman seated opposite from him seemed composed and undisturbed, seemingly oblivious to the disappearance of her lunch partner.
When the waitress had completed taking orders, she approached the table and remarked
“Pardon me, ma’am, but I believe your husband just slid under the table,” she said.
“No he didn’t,” the woman said firmly, looking up at her calmly. He just walked in the door.”
